Today, MASCOT Vietnam had the honour of welcoming H. E. Bruno Angelet, Ambassador of the European Union in Vietnam and Ms. Miriam Garcia Ferrer, Head of Trade and Economic Affairs.
The ambassador and his colleague were briefed by MASCOT Vietnam’s Managing Director Thomas Bo Pedersen on how MASCOT has experienced the investment climate in Vietnam in the past decade. The ambassador advised on the business opportunities, due to the new EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement that is expected to come into force in the second half of 2018. On the agenda was also the CSR-policy of MASCOT Vietnam, and not only from a management point of view.
Being fluent in Vietnamese, the Ambassador talked with some of MASCOT’s workers to get a first-hand impression of the working conditions in MASCOT Vietnam.
MASCOT employs approximately 2000 employees in Vietnam and Laos in four highly efficient production units.
